Forum Changes Being Made

To All Our Readers:

As you know, Writer's Fortress is a new site. One created for authors of all ages and experience to swap ideas, share thoughts, and have fun. As such, it is very much a work in progress. As you look at the site, you'll notice that some changes to the forums have been added. In FanFiction, you'll see that a sub forum American Idol has been created. Within this sub forum, different sub-genres have been added. This has been included to make the navigation to your favorite couple easier. Also a sub forum for the popular show "House" has been added. A new forum called "Period Pieces" has been added for fans of stories taking place in another time in history. As new stories are posted, new forums or subforums will be added when appropriate. Also, some stories have been moved into their appropriate forum or sub forum. We hope that you will like these changes that have been made, and will continue to enjoy your time spent here.

I have a question! I was skimming around and noticed that some American Idol things were posted outside of the fanfiction section? Were they just posted before the change, or is it okay to post them there, too? Or just... keep them in the fanfiction section? Just curious!! Didn't want to mess up any order on this board!

That is a very good question, Mickey, thank you for asking. When Writer's Fortress first came into existence Robyn and I listed many genres to keep things organized. The site is made up of primarily authors from IFF who write only fanfiction. And not very many original stories are being posted. Therefore we have scattered the stories throughout the site. You may post your stories where you see fit, and from time to time we may move them, but will notify you. Eventually as Writer's Fortress grows and more original work is being written, everything will be in the proper category. I hope that answers your question.

Oh, okies, I understand you!! Well, then could I possibly have the story I started in American Idol fanfiction moved to the horror section instead! It just seems so pushed back in the depths in the American Idol fanfiction section! Unless you don't want to move it, that's fine by me!

I hope to write original stuff, too, just never had an appropriate place to post it before. I mean, we had a section on IFF, but no one read it... xD
