PostSubject: My Songs   Thu 03 Jun 2010, 3:56 pm

Speeding down a broken road, memories passing by
Heartache isn’t felt in this town
I’ve been driving back home, the only place I know
To not let the pain remain

I’ve got love in unknown places
Mind full of forgotten spaces
Take my hand I’ve got time
Lets draw a line

Summers pass and go, winters drag on and on
Freedom in life, love in strife
But I’m barely holding on

Have you ever felt the embers?
Slowly dying in your hands?
Passion and love fading into dust
I feel my heart start again
All the feelings sunken in my chest
Every dream I pass on
Running back to the shadow
Of who I was before

Guess I’ll never know (I’ll never know)
What was down the road

New Years passing, gifts unopened, birthdays changing with the age
Living life like it is worth the fight
Becoming who I’m made to be
Sometimes I swear I can feel you
Standing with me in the rain
Looking to the skies, I place a smile, cause up there I know has no pain

Growing older with my age
I keep driving home
I keep driving home

Have you ever felt the embers?
Slowly dying in your hands?
Passion and love fading into dust
I feel my heart start again
All the feelings sunken in my chest
Every dream I pass on
Running back to the shadow
Of who I was before

Guess I’ll never know (I’ll never know)
What was down the road

Sometimes, I’ll start to wonder
All the places I could have been?
Grateful for the invitation
For life to start again

But I guess I’ll never know (I’ll never know)
What was down the road

Guess I’ll never know
What was down the road
